V60 coffee brewing

What is the Hario V60 coffee maker?

Haryo was originally a Japanese crystal and glass manufacturing company that first produced the Haryo V60 device.

In 1949, the company introduced its first coffee maker to the market, which included a glass coffee filter. In the future, the material of this filter was changed to cloth, and in the following years, many changes were made in the material of the filter and the body and shape of this coffee maker. Until finally, the v60 coffee machine became the present day. This brewing method is for brewing a cup of coffee and it is very popular in the world because it makes a delicate, clear and complex cup of coffee and you don’t need to be a professional to get good coffee from it. It is one of the cheapest coffees in terms of coffee prices in cafes and coffee shops. What is the difference between V60 coffee and Komex?

“Focusing on filters” Both of these coffee makers use the filter method. But the filter used in Komex is thicker than the V60 coffee, which means that it does not allow any coffee powder to pass through and the resulting coffee is much clearer. How to make coffee with v60:

1- Fold the paper filter into a cone shape. Place it inside the V60 cone (which itself is placed on the glass).

2- Pour hot water on the filter to pass through it and pour out the excess water. Pour the coffee into the cone and shake it gently until smooth.

3. Place V60 and your glass on the scale.

4- Turn on the timer. Pour 50 grams of water on the coffee so that all the coffee is wet and blooms.

5- After 30 seconds, pour another 100 grams of water on the coffee. Pour the water in concentric circles over the coffee (not the sides of the paper filter).

6- After 60 seconds, add another 50 grams of water.

7- In 90 seconds, add 50 grams of water again.

8- All your water (250 grams) must be poured over the coffees in 90 seconds.

Now let the coffee drip and pour it into a glass or any other container. 9- Your V60 coffee will brew in 2 to 3 minutes. If it takes longer, grind the coffee coarser next time.

If the time for the water to completely pass through the filter is shorter than desired, grind the coffee finer
